A Marsa man was yesterday charged with hitting a man with a glass and seriously injuring him in the face on Friday night.

Max Schembri, 20, pleaded not guilty to threatening and injuring Nathaniel Mifsud and breaching the peace in a fight that took place in Marsa at 11 p.m.

Schembri was granted bail against a Lm500 deposit and a personal guarantee of Lm1,500.

Police Inspector Mario Bonello prosecuted.
