An elderly man was seriously injured when he fell off a ladder in St Paul's Bay yesterday.

Police said the 73-year-old from Hamrun fell a height of one storey while he was putting up an awning at a residence in Triq is-Sajf.

The Civil Protection Department had to be called in to take the man out of the house.

Police are investigating.
