An international trainer was in Malta to step up Belgian beer Stella Artois’s serving ritual to the standard it is renowned for.
The first three establishments that received training were Hugo’s Pub and AXM Club in St Julian’s and Traveller’s Cafe in Buġibba.
GSD Marketing Ltd is providing outlets offering Stella on draught with the brand’s chalices.
Serving Stella in the right chalice is the first step to reach the gold standard status.
“Stella Artois is known not only for its distinct taste, but it is also associated with its capacity to make beer a thing of beauty,” said Frederick Broeckhoven, a Stella Artois world draught master and Gold Standards programme visiting trainer.
GSD sales and technical staff were trained in pouring techniques and draught troubleshooting to help bars and catering establishments serve Stella the proper way and achieve the Gold Standard.
GSD Marketing Ltd business development manager Wilfred Camilleri also received training to qualify as a trainer and be able to offer refresher courses to GSD representatives.
