The Ministry of Foreign Affairs yesterday drew attention to page four of the Libyan Newspaper El Fagr Al-Giadid, which carried the following notice on March 13:
"Within the framework of settling the national sectors dues of the General People's Committee, the Secretariat of the General People's Committee for Finance announces to companies, partnerships, individuals and others from the private sector, to whom the General Treasury owes debts registered before 1998, that it is imperative to consult the Transfers Section at the Secretariat at its address in Issekka Road (opposite Soccara Clinic) before April 20, 2005, with a view to finalise payment procedures.
"The Secretariat of the General People's Committee for Finance would not be able to finalise the procedures of those in delay, after this date or accept any vouchers received after that date in this respect."
The ministry said it would publish any further information as soon this becomes available.
