Malta Enterprise has approved seven projects originating in Israel in the past seven months, President Marie Louise Coleiro Preca said.
Addressing an activity organised by Malta Enterprise in Jerusalem during an official visit to Israel and Palestine, the President said another 100 companies registered in Malta were owned by Israeli entrepreneurs.
She said that the excellent connectivity between Malta and Israel, the Double Taxation Agreement in place between the countries, and the highly-skilled and flexible workforce Malta had, would definitely serve as an extra incentive for Israeli entrepreneurs to invest in Malta.
“In fact, Malta envisages collaboration in the IT and digital sector, in life sciences, and in research and education, to mention but a few,” the President added, thanking Malta Enterprise for facilitating the business forum and networking event.
During the visit, Malta and Israel also signed a collaboration agreement for the health sector.
