Tourists injured as minibus crashes into a field in Marfa

The vehicle was being driven towards Ċirkewwa

Seven Bulgarian tourists and a driver were grievously injured when a minibus crashed into a wall and a field on Marfa Road,  Ċirkewwa, on Monday morning

The accident happened shortly before 9am.

The minibus was being driven towards Ċirkewwa at the time of the accident.

People on the scene reported a fleet of ambulances in the area as well as police and rescuers from the Civil Protection Department. The condition of the injured is not known.

The vehicle was being driven by a 67-year-old man from St Paul's Bay.
