The Union Haddiema Maghqudin said it had reached agreement with the Archbishop's Curia regarding the payment of shift allowances to workers engaged on shift work at the Sagra Familja home for the elderly in Naxxar.

The UHM said workers employed on a part-time basis would be paid the allowance on a pro-rata basis according to the hours they worked.

The agreement is effective from January 1 this year.
