A Pietà man was yesterday charged with firing a shotgun on Guardamangia Hill two months ago.

Francis Falzon, 49, pleaded guilty to keeping and carrying a Luigi Franchi shotgun and ammunition without a licence and firing the shotgun in Pietà on August 6 at about 8.15 p.m.

He also pleaded guilty to firing the shotgun in an inhabited area, keeping and carrying a loaded shotgun in an area not reserved for hunting, and in the close season.

The case was put off for judgment.

Police Inspector Alex Paul Miruzzi prosecuted.

Dr Jason Azzopardi and Dr Kris Busietta appeared for the defendant.
