The police are to arraign six young people aged between 15 and 22 following a string of offences committed earlier this year.

The police said the cases included the arson of a Peugeot van in Luqa in February, the theft and setting on fire of a Suzuki motorcycle in Tarxien on March 15, wilful damage to petrol stations at Luqa and at the airport, wilful damage to a printing press, a garage and a hut at Luqa industrial estate on March 10, damage to a bus shelter at Luqa on March 24, vandalism on various skips at Sta Lucija on February 29, damage to a statue at Mqabba and the Hal Millieri chapel in Zurrieq.

Five of the suspects are from Luqa and the other is from Birkirkara.
