Sliema local council is organising the traditional bonfire on the occasion of the feast of St John on the rocky shore opposite the Diplomat Hotel, in Sliema on June 21 at 9 p.m.

Before the event, the Salesian Boys and the Girls Brigade and the Sliema Boy Scouts (Bernards' Own) will march in Dingli Street to the Sliema front.

The public is encouraged to follow the event from the promenade overlooking the place where the bonfire will be held.
