John Pace, 39 of Birkirkara, was charged with slightly injuring Deborah Abela and threatening her and her husband Jesmond on Sunday.

He was granted bail against a personal guarantee of Lm100 and ordered not to go to the Msida St Joseph football club.

Dr Roberto Montalto and Dr Joseph Giglio appeared for the accused.

Inspector Stephen J. Gatt prosecuted.
