* Olympiakos Piraeus winger Luciano Galletti has been ruled out of the second leg of their Champions League first knockout round tie with Chelsea at Stamford Bridge next week with a thigh strain. The 27-year-old Argentine suffered a thigh strain during Saturday's 1-1 draw with PAOK Salonika and club doctors have ruled him out for the next three weeks. Lomana LuaLua, who missed the first leg 0-0 draw in Athens because of injury, is expected to be fit to play in London on March 5. He is due to play a part in Wednesday's Greek Cup quarter-final against Iraklis.
* Sweden will play Euro 2008 warm-up matches at home against Slovenia on May 26 and Ukraine on June 1, the Swedish FA said on their Web site (www.svenskfotboll.se) on Tuesday. Sweden, who also play Brazil in a friendly in London on March 26, are in the same group as Spain, Greece and Russia at June 7-29 tournament in Austria and Switzerland.
* Middlesbrough have appealed against the red card shown to striker Jeremie Aliadiere in the 3-2 defeat at Liverpool on Saturday, the English FA has confirmed. The French former Arsenal player was dismissed for a harmless looking slap on Liverpool's Javier Mascherano with five minutes remaining.

* Thailand's national team coach has denied press reports he is unhappy that the team's former boss, ex-England international Peter Withe, has been hired to help the side prepare for World Cup qualifiers. Charnwit Polcheewin said there was no ill-feeling because the former Aston Villa striker would be working only as a scout and not a coach.
