Marriages

Mr MARK ANTHONY SAMMUT, B.Eng. (Hons.), M.Sc. and Ms CHRISTIANNE GRECH, BA (Hons.) Social Work The marriage took place on Saturday, October 30, at Mosta parish church, between MARK ANTHONY, only son of Mr and Mrs Nazzareno Sammut of Kappara, and CHRISTIANNE, youngest daughter of Mr and Mrs Benedict Grech of Mosta. Fathers Richard Ebejer, Lino Grech and Joseph Muscat concelebrated nuptial Mass. Ms Anneke Grixti, B.Ed. (Hons.), Dip. Dip. Stud., MIM, the bride's sister, and Mr Mario Lapira, the groom's uncle, witnessed the ceremony. Mr Roderick Grech, B.Comm., BA (Hons.) Accty., CSA, FIA, CPA, MBA (Henley), the bride's brother, was best man, and Mr Kevin Spiteri and Mr Noel Vella, BA (Hons.), MA (Fin. Serv.) were ushers. Ms Francesca Meli attended the bride. Ms Gabrielle Grixti, who was accompanied by Ms Martina Grech and Ms Christina Grixti, all the bride's nieces, was flower-girl. After the reception, which was held at Villa Arrigo, the couple left for their honeymoon in Scotland.

Obituary

SPENCE. On Friday, November 19, at his home in Cheltenham, England, MICHAEL (ex-chairman and former managing director, Dowty Malta Ltd), aged 69, passed peacefully away after a short illness. He leaves to mourn his loss his beloved wife Greta, his children Matthew and Pippa and their families and his many friends in Malta.
