ALBANI. On September 18, at Karin Grech Hospital Maternity Wing, to Moira née Agius and Louis, God's precious gift of a first-born daughter - MARIA FEDERICA. Special thanks to the obstetrician and all the dedicated maternity staff for all their care.

BONELLO GHIO. On September 2, at Karin Grech Hospital Maternity Wing, to Davina née Vella and Luke, God's precious gift of a son - DINO MATTEO, a most welcome brother to twin sisters Michela and Sara. Special thanks to all the maternity staff at the hospital.

Marriages

Mr MICHAEL GATT and Miss SABRINA CARUANA
The marriage took place on Friday, September 24, between MICHAEL, son of John and Simone Gatt of San Pawl tat-Targa, and SABRINA, daughter of David and Alice Caruana of Ta' Xbiex. Nuptial Mass was celebrated by Fr John Scicluna, SJ, at St John of the Cross parish church, Ta' Xbiex. Mrs Fiona Pace and Mrs Edwina Soler, the bride's sisters, and Mr Bernard Ferrante, BA (Hons.) Econ., the groom's uncle, witnessed the ceremony. The bride was attended by Miss Louise Gatt, Miss Natasha Pace and Miss Davinia Pace. Master Miguel Soler and Master Jacques Soler were pageboys. Mr Philip Bonett and Mr Nikolai de Giorgio were best men. Mr Sandro Bartoli, Mr Chris Casapinta, Mr David Curmi, Mr Matthew Cardona, Mr Etienne Grech, Mr Malcolm Sullivan and Mr Andrew Sapienza acted as ushers. A reception was later held at Palazzo Parisio, Naxxar. The couple are spending their honeymoon in South Africa and Mauritius.

Mr BRYCE OBLINGER and Miss SAMANTHA SANT
The marriage took place on Saturday, September 4, at St Bartholomew's parish church, Gharghur, between BRYCE, son of Mr Barrie Oblinger and Mrs Debra Kaufman of North Carolina, USA, and SAMANTHA, daughter of the late Michael A. Sant and of Mrs Lina Sant of Mosta. Nuptial Mass was celebrated by Fr Marius Galea. The ceremony was witnessed by Mr Aaron Borg and Mr Darcy Oblinger. Dr John Grech Hardie, MD, and Mr Charles Borg, carried out the duties of best men, while Ms Hannah Borg, B.Educ., and Mrs Les Vella were ushers. The bride was attended by Dr Sephora Grech Hardie, MD, and Ms Elizabeth Cimino was flower-girl. A reception was later held at Selmun Castle, Selmun. The couple are taking up residence in Florida, USA.

Mr PAUL SCERRI and Ms ODILE SEYCHELL
The marriage took place on Monday, September 20, between PAUL, son of Nazzareno and Carmen Scerri of Fgura, and ODILE, daughter of Joseph and Rita Seychell of Birkirkara. Nuptial Mass was celebrated by Fr Benjamin Galea, OCD, at St Theresa Sanctuary, Birkirkara. Mrs Maria Bonavia and Mrs Marie Antoinette Cassar were witnesses. The bride was attended by Ms Eleanor Azzopardi. Mr Jason Bonavia was best man and Mr Kenneth Magro and Mr Kurt Scerri acted as ushers. A reception was later held at Villa Madama, Attard.

Ruby Wedding

Mr ACHILLE MIZZI and Miss YOLANDA MIFSUD
The marriage between ACHILLE and YOLANDA took place on September 27, 1964, at Our Lady of Graces Sanctuary, Zabbar. Fr Carmelo Buttigieg officiated. Best wishes from Marcel and Lauren, Ramon and Roberto, Pierre and Therese, Desiree and Joseph, all their grandchildren, relatives and friends. Ad multos annos.

Golden Wedding

Dr JOSEPH ZARB COUSIN, LL.D., BA and Miss LILIAN AGIUS-GILIBERT
The marriage took place on September 26, 1954, at St Ignatius chapel, St Julian's. The late Fr Gennaro Camilleri officiated. Congratulations and best wishes to mummy and daddy from Christopher, Audrey and Salvo. Lots of love to nanna and nannu from Pamela, Giampiero and his girlfriend Sarah, and Sabrina.

Obituary

DEBONO. On September 24, at St Luke's Hospital, MANWEL, aged 67, passed peacefully away, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his brother Joseph, his sister Carmen and her husband Jack residing in Wales, his sister-in-law Cettina, widow of Salvu, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. - R.I.P.
The funeral leaves St Luke's Hospital today at 9.30 a.m. for the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery chapel, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 10 a.m., followed by interment.

SAMMUT. On September 24, EVELYN née Sant of Hamrun, aged 60, passed peacefully away, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her great loss her husband Ronnie, her sons Patrick and his wife Rosalie, and Alex, her daughter Roseanne, her grandson Andrew, her sister Iris and her brothers Guido and his wife Carmen, Joe and his wife Jessie, Aldo and his wife Lukie, Lino and his wife Mary, other relatives and friends. - R.I.P.
The funeral leaves Sir Paul Boffa Hospital tomorrow for St Cajetan parish church, Hamrun, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 9 a.m., followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetry. No flowers by request but donations to charitable institutions will be appreciated. The family regret they are anable to recieve visitors.

A study morning for nurses, focusing on Promoting Urinary Continence in the Elderly, is being organised by Zammit Clapp Hospital.
