Culture 2000 applications
Applications for Culture 2000 projects for next year have been announced.
The Education Ministry said Culture 2000 was the European Union's funding programme for quality projects which seek to encourage dissemination of arts and cultural mobility, foster intercultural dialogue and strive for creativity and innovation, among others.
The four sectors which applicant organisations can apply for within the broad cultural field are: performing and visual arts, cultural heritage and literature.
The 2005 call, which closes on October 29, has no priority area so all these four sectors will be given approximately equal attention.
Application forms from interested applicants are available from the EU cultural portal and from the Malta Culture 2000 website.
Further information may be obtained from the Cultural Contact Point Malta within the European Union Programmes Unit at the Ministry of Education, Youth and Employment (tel. 2122 6770).
