The marriage took place on Saturday, May 8, at the church of the Immaculate Conception, Cerveny Kamen, Slovak Republic, between JAMES, son of Mr and The Noble L. Delia, and LUBOMÍRA, daughter of Ing. and Mrs A. Jakúbek of Slovakia. Nuptial Mass was celebrated by Fr Balaj. The Noble Lawrence Cassar Desain Viani, and Ing. Pavol Cích, witnessed the marriage. The bride was attended by Ivana and Martina Cích, Kristina Perotti, with Alexia Borg Manduca acting as flower-girl, and Nicholas Borg Manduca as pageboy. Andrej and Martin Sottnik, Andrej Marfiak and Andrew Perotti were ushers. A reception was later held at the Park Hotel na Baracke, Trencianske Teplice, Slovakia.

The marriage took place on Friday, June 25, at St Gregory's church, Zejtun, between JOSEPH, son of Mr and Mrs Henry Gauci of San Gwann, and SVETLANA, daughter of the late Mr and Mrs Victor Grech of Qormi. Fr David Cefai, SJ, assisted by Fr Charles Cordina, Fr Claude Portelli and Brother Antoine Ebejer celebrated Nuptial Mass. The groom's brother, Dr Ian Gauci, and the bride's brother, Dr Anatole Grech, witnessed the marriage. The bride was attended by Miss Marilena Pisani. The groom's youngest brother, Mr Christopher Gauci, and Mr Noel Mifsud, carried out the duties of best men, while Mr Walance Buttigieg Scicluna and Mr Matthew Pullicino acted as ushers. A reception was later held at the Le Meridien Phoenicia Bastion Pool, Floriana. The couple will be spending their honeymoon in Argentina.

Obituary

Miles Testaferrata Bonici. On July 2, at St James Capua Hospital, Helen, aged 88, widow of Arthur Malcolm Miles, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her nephew Nicholas, her nieces Agnés, Irene, Caren and Annamaria with their respective husbands, her great-nephews and great-nieces, other relatives and friends, and her devoted carers. The funeral cortège will leave her residence tomorrow at 9.45 a.m. for the Metropolitan Cathedral of St Peter and St Paul in Mdina, where Mass praesente cadavere will be celebrated at 10 a.m., followed by internment at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Dar tal-Providenza, Siggiewi, will be appreciated. The members of the family regret they are unable to receive visitors. Lord grant her eternal rest.
