Mr BERND HAMMER, Diplom. Ingenieur and Miss DAPHNE DE GIORGIO, MA
The marriage took place on Saturday, May 8, at Seligenthal Abbey Church, Landshut, Germany, between BERND, son of Sophie Wurm and the late Hans Hammer of Landshut, and DAPHNE, daughter of Oliver and Carmen De Giorgio of Balzan. Fr Conrad Dietel celebrated nuptial Mass. Trevor De Giorgio, BA, the bride's brother, and Marlies Ostfalk, the groom's sister, witnessed the marriage. The bride was attended by her sister, Clarissa De Giorgio. Christian Hammer, the groom's brother, carried out the duties of best man. A reception was later held at Schloss Schoenbrunn, Landshut. The couple have taken up residence in Germany.
Mr EDGAR URPANI and Miss CRISTINA GALEA
The marriage took place on Saturday, May 29, at Naxxar parish church, between EDGAR, son of Ronnie and Josephine Urpani of Sliema, and CRISTINA, daughter of Philip and Caroline Galea of Sliema. Canon Michael Agius celebrated nuptial Mass. Mr Alex Mizzi and Miss Francesca Tabone witnessed the marriage. The bride was attended by Camilla Galea and Carla Vella, while Ella DeGiorgio was flower-girl and Michael Scudamore, Sam Urpani and Alex Satariano were pageboys. The duties of best man were carried out by Matthew Mangion. Julian Galea, Luca Fragano, Steve Urpani and John Urpani acted as ushers. A reception was later held at Palazzo Parisio, Naxxar.
Obituary
ELLUL. On June 5, at St Luke's Hospital, JOSEPH, of Birkirkara, aged 55, passed peacefully away comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to morn his loss his wife Mariella, his son Manuel, his sister Lydia and her husband Paul Muscat, his brother Godfrey and his wife Rose and his nephew Clyde, his mother-in-law Doris, his brother-in-law Charles, his sisters-in-law Eileen, Grace and Nathalie, other nephews and nieces, relatives and friends. - R.I.P. MICELI. On June 5, at St Luke's Hospital, CARMELINA née Saydon, widow of Arthur, aged 67, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her irreparable loss her sons Stephen and his wife Theresa, Peter and Anthony, her sisters Georgette, Joyce and her husband Lino Selvatico, Marianne and her husband Lino Mifsud, Julie and her husband George Shaw, her beloved grandchildren Cristina and Stefano, in-laws, nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends. He leaves to mourn his irreparable loss his most beloved wife Laura née Moore, his dearest children Patricia and her husband Chevalier William A. Cassar Torreggiani, Arthur and his wife Kristine, his treasured grandchildren Teriza, Stephanie and Sarah, Maya, Aaron and Christoph, as well as his precious great-grandchildren Lara, Emma, Sean, Nicholas, Hannah, Sascha, Daniel and Kristina, his dear in-laws Antoinette Podestà, Mary Fiorini Lowell, Evelyne Soler, Edith Moore, Frederick Moore and Henry Grech of Canada, nephews, nieces, other relatives, numerous friends and members of the Legion of Mary to whom he was so devoted.
