Silver Wedding
Mr JOHN A. GAUCI MAISTRE and Miss ANN MARIE PACE
The marriage of JOHN A., son of Judge Agostino and Mrs Winnifred Gauci Maistre, and ANN MARIE, daughter of Mr Lawrence and Mrs Winnie Pace took place on Sunday, March 18, 1979, at Our Lady of Fatima Sanctuary, Gwardamangia. Fr Salvino Darmanin, SJ, officiated.
OBITUARY
BUHAGIAR. On March 16, at St James Capua Hospital, Sliema, MARTHESE née Said, aged 56, passed peacefully away. She leaves to mourn her irreparable loss her devoted husband Joe, her parents John and Josephine née Camilleri, her brothers and sisters Doris and Joe Triganza, Leo and Joyce, Herbert, Joe and Julie, Jennifer and Paul Attard, Anna and Ray Fenech, Patrick and Sue, Lara and Charles Mifsud, her sisters-in-law Pauline and John Micallef, Carmen and Freddie Micallef, her numerous nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. - R.I.P. The funeral leaves St James Capua Hospital today at 8.15 a.m. for St Dominic's church, Rabat, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 9 a.m., followed by interment in the family grave at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to the Poor Clares, St Julian's, will be appreciated. The family regret they are unable to receive visitors.
CARABOTT. On March 17, ALDO, B.Sc.MBA (assistant director at Ministry for Economic Services) aged 38, of Swieqi, passed peacefully away comforted by the rites of the Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his great loss his most beloved wife Yvette née Fleri, his dearest daughters Francesca and Michela, his parents Ersilia and Michael, his mother and father-in-law Mary Rose and Ronald, his sister Josette and her husband Saviour Theuma, his brother Mario and his wife Margaret and his sister Marthese, his in-laws Tania and her husband Kevin, Denise and her fiancé Mark, Elaine and her husband Peter of Australia, nanna Rose, his nephews and niece, Christopher, Steven, Roderick, Sean, Angus, Sean, Naomi and Owen, cousins, relatives, colleagues and friends. The funeral leaves St Luke's Hospital today at 2 p.m. for St Mary's Church, Birkirkara (Knisja l-Qadima), where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 2.30 p.m. followed by interment at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. O Lord, grant him eternal rest.
MOFFETT. On March 16, at his residence in Rabat, CLIFFORD, aged 88, passed peacefully away in his sleep. He leaves to mourn his loss his son Maurice, his daughter-in-law Mercedes and grandchildren Lynne and James. The funeral leaves St Luke's Hospital today at 2 p.m. for the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery where interment takes place in the family grave.
Requiem Masses
Tomorrow's 10 a.m. Mass at St John of the Cross parish church, Ta' Xbiex, will be offered for the repose of the souls of ANTONIO and ANNA PACE.

Tim Lang will be giving a public lecture on Food Policy Challenges for Malta on Entering the EU at the Francis Ebejer Hall, University of Malta, on Monday at 3 p.m.
Prof. Lang is professor of food policy at the Department of Health Management and Food Policy, Institute of Health Sciences, City University, London.
Pensioners' Meeting
The Friends of Australia Association is holding a meeting for Maltese/Australian pensioners at Dar l-Emigrant, Valletta, on April 3 at 10 a.m.
There are nearly 4,000 Maltese/Australian pensioners residing in Malta whose pensions are being directly credited into their Maltese bank accounts.
Charity Car Wash
The altar boys of the Capuchin church, in Floriana, will be holding a car wash between tomorrow and Sunday to raise money for the altar boys of Hola in Kenya.
It will be held in the parking area of the friary in Floriana tomorrow and on Saturday from 8.30 a.m. to 5.30 p.m. and on Sunday from 8.30 a.m. to 2.30 p.m.

The Association of Gozitan Non-Governmental Organisations is sending circulars to Gozo-based organisations, bodies and groups informing them about its activities and setting up a database.

Lottery Winners
Carmen Aquilina has won a Kia Rio in the lottery organised by Karta Converters to mark its 30th anniversary. The second prize, a Natuzzi suite, was won by Mary Caruana and the third prize of Lm1,000 worth of products from World Marketing was presented to Charles Galea.
1,000 Hits A Day
There have been over half a million visitors to the Gozo Ministry website since it was set up in January 2002. About 1,000 people visit it every day, the ministry said.
