Obituary

ZARB. On October 30, at St Vincent de Paul residence, CARMEN née Muscat of Birkirkara, widow of Joseph, passed peacefully away at the age of 92. She leaves to mourn her loss her daughters May, widow of Tarcisio Abela, Eileen and her husband Frank Vella Briffa and Tanya and her husband Michael Pavey, her 17 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren, her sister Jane Muscat, her sisters-in-law Mary Atkinson and Connie Fitzgerald, besides other relatives and friends. - R.I.P.
The funeral leaves St Vincent de Paul residence today at 2 p.m. for St Mary's church (knisja l-qadima), Birkirkara, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 2.30 p.m., followed by interment at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery.

Distribution Agreement

Publishers Enterprises Group (PEG) Ltd and Book Distributors Ltd (BDL) have reached an agreement that entitles BDL to sole agency status in the distribution and marketing of all PEG publications.

BDL will also be taking over the distribution of PEG books on the overseas market. As in the past, a number of new PEG titles will be presented to the public during the Malta Book Fair next month.

Annual Publication

The Authors and Publishers Alliance in association with JPS Books has issued the Publishing & Media Guide Book, an annual publication with information on literary ventures and services.

It is primarily a directory that can be useful to individuals and companies interested in using such services.

Swop Shop

The International Wives Association is holding the monthly swop shop at Dar l-Emigrant, Valletta on November 5 from 9.30 to 11.30 a.m. Everyone is welcome.

Prayer Meeting

A Padre Pio prayer meeting and Mass will be held in St Monica chapel, Fleur-de-Lys on Thursday at 5.30 p.m.

Codesharing Arrangement

British Airways and Swiss International Air Lines have begun codesharing on each other's services between London Heathrow, Geneva and Zurich. All flights from Heathrow to Zurich and Geneva feature in the new codeshare arrangement, which builds on the existing BA codeshare with Swiss on services between Heathrow and Basle.

Temporary Closure
