Obituary

AZZOPARDI. On October 1, at his residence in Marsascala, NICHOLAS, aged 89, passed peacefully away. He leaves to mourn his loss his beloved wife Gemma née Mallia Milanes, his children Fr Cecil Azzopardi, SJ, Missionary in India, Raymond and his wife Anna née Vella, Sister Rosita of the Sisters of St Joseph of the Apparition, Joseph and his wife Miriam née Raimondo, Frank and his wife Ann née Lupi, Anna and her husband Thomas Debono, Bernard and his wife Rita née Farrugia, his grandchildren Daniel, Bernice, Bertrand and Yana, Myra, Alan and Julian, Ryan and Jonathan, Audrey and Kurt, his sister Memè and his sister-in-law Lilly, widow of Dr Oliver Azzopardi, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. - R.I.P.
The funeral leaves St Luke's Hospital today at 1.30 p.m. for St Anne's parish church, Marsascala, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 2 p.m., followed by interment at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Dar tal-Providenza, Siggiewi, will be appreciated. The family regret they are unable to receive visitors.

Hospice Concert

The Sliema Philharmonic Society youth band will be performing on behalf of the Malta Hospice Movement in the Sir Temi Zammit Hall of the University of Malta on Saturday at 7 p.m. Similar concerts are being organised by hospice movements around the world. A number of other entertainers will be taking part.

Cables Damaged

Telephone subscribers in Mosta were without a service yesterday after Maltacom cables were damaged by a civil engineering contractor working in the area on behalf of the Water Services Corporation.
