Obituary

CASSAR. On August 22, CARMELO, of Zabbar, residing at Paola, aged 80, passed peacefully away to eternal life. He leaves to mourn his loss his beloved wife Grezzja née Ellul, his children Polly and her husband George Scerri, Marija and her husband Frank Zammit, Tereza and her husband Mario Scerri, Cettina and her husband John Liddell and Manwel in Malta, Josephine and her husband David Miruzzi, George and his wife Tereza in Australia, in-laws, nephews, great nephews, other relatives in Malta and Australia. - R.I.P.
The funeral leaves St Luke's Hospital today at 2.15 p.m. for Paola parish church where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 2.45 p.m. followed by interment in the family grave at All Souls Cemetery, Tarxien. No flowers by request but donations to Kerygma Movement will be appreciated.

FENECH. On August 22, at her residence in Birkirkara, HELEN (ex-Headmistress), aged 82, passed peacefully away, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her sister Agnes, her brothers John and Carmelo, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. - R.I.P.
The funeral leaves her residence today at 8 a.m. for St Mary's church (knisja l-qadima), Birkirkara, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 8.30 a.m., followed by interment in the family grave at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to St Joseph Institute, Sta Venera, will be appreciated.

ZAHRA. On August 17, at his residence, ANTHONY of Msida, aged 73, passed peacefully away. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Rose née Faurè and his children Ronnie and his wife Bibbiana and Grace and her husband Grant, his grandchildren Wayne and his wife Corinne, Craig and his wife Serena, Michael and Justin, his great-granddaughter Isabella-Rose, his sisters Maria, Helen, Lucy and families. - R.I.P.
Mass praesente cadavere will be said today at 2.30 p.m. at St Joseph parish church, Msida.

Bay Fireworks

Fireworks will be let off from a barge moored in St Julian's Bay on September 5 at noon and between 9.30 and 10.15 p.m.; on September 6 between 9.15 a.m. and noon, 6.15 and 7 p.m. and 8 and 11.30 p.m.; and on September 7 at 8 a.m., noon and from 7.30 to 11.30 p.m.

Seacraft and bathers are to keep clear of the area by not less than 200 metres.

The police yesterday received reports of a big fish sighted off Zonqor Point, Marsascala. They advised the public to take precautions.
