ABELA. On May 9, at Zammit Clapp Hospital, Sr GIOVANNINA of the Sisters of Charity, aged 77, passed peacefully away to meet the Risen Lord, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss the Congregation of the Sisters of Charity, her brothers Joe and his wife Cettina, Arthur and his wife Rose, Charlie and his wife Lucy, Manwel and his wife Giovanna of Australia, her sisters Rose, Mary Debattista and her husband Johnnie and Emily Gauci and her husband Andrew, nephews, nieces and their families, other relatives and friends. - R.I.P.
The funeral leaves Zammit Clapp Hospital today at 7.30 a.m. for the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery chapel where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 8 a.m., followed by interment.

MIZZI. On May 8, at St Luke's Hospital, GEORGE, residing at Floriana Old People's Home, aged 88, passed peacefully away, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his sons Charles and his wife Gina, Joe and his wife Maria, Lawrence and his wife Maria, his grandchildren Mariella and her husband Danny, Antoine, Stephen, Jonathan and his fiancée Greta, Matthew and his fiancée Celia, Konrad and his wife S'ai Liang and Nicola, and his great-grandchildren Tara and Nina. - R.I.P.
Mass praesente cadavere will be celebrated today at 9 a.m. at the chapel of the Miraculous Medal (MUSEUM chapel), Blata l-Bajda, followed by interment in the family vault at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery.

Italian Recital

Soprano Gillian Zammit and pianist Rosetta de Battista will be giving an Italian recital on Friday in the Music Room of St James Cavalier, Valletta.

It is the second recital in a series which began in March. The works will include Songs by Tosti, Bellini and Rossini along with some well-loved operatic arias by Puccini, Donizetti, Scarlatti and Vivaldi.

The concert starts at 7.30 p.m. and tickets are available from St James Cavalier on 2122 3216.

There are a limited number of seats available at half price for students under the age of 16.

Connect Card

Vodafone Malta's new mobile connect card gives customers the opportunity to connect to the internet from almost any location.

Customers have to install the software from the Vodafone CD-ROM, slot a pre-configured mobile connect card into their laptop, then just click and connect using Vodafone's GPRS network.

Shares As A Prize

Past and future investors in HSBC products can enter in a competition that may win them 500 free shares worth approximately £5,000.

The competition is part of HSBC Offshore's anniversary celebrations, marking 10 years of success for the bank's capital secured offshore funds.

The competition is now open and closes on June 10, and the winner will be announced on July 1.
