Obituary

GRECH. On February 27, at his residence in San Gwann, JOSEPH, aged 80, passed peacefully away, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his great loss his beloved wife Maria née Mifsud, his children Connie and her husband Costantino Muscat, Charles, Rosemary and her husband Albert Borg, Ferdinand and his wife Doreen, Joseph and his wife Monique, Winnie and her husband Charles Sammut, his sisters Teresa, Pawlina and her husband John Mifsud, his grandchildren Isabelle, Kevin, Katia, Edmond, Christopher, Daniella, Conrad, Andrè, Nicholai, Janika, Lorna, Jan, Eva and his great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
The funeral leaves his residence today for Our Lady of Lourdes parish church, San Gwann, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 2.30 p.m., followed by interment in the family grave at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to the Hospice Movement will be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

GRISCTI. On February 27, at St Luke's Hospital, MARIA STELLA, of St Julian's, aged 81, widow of Francis, passed peacefully away comforted by the rites of Holy church. She leaves to mourn her loss her children Lina, Sylvia and her husband Patrick Cooney, Twanny and his wife Lucy, Charles and his wife Carmen, Joe and his wife Kathryn and Helen and her husband Michael Borg, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, her in-laws and their respective families, other relatives and friends. - R.I.P.
The funeral leaves St Luke's Hospital at 9 a.m. tomorrow for Balluta parish church, St Julian's, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 9.30 a.m. followed by interment in the family vault at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Dar tal-Providenza, Siggiewi, will be appreciated.

LUCIA. On February 27, at St Luke's Hospital, IRIS, aged 91, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. Deeply mourned by her sisters Irene, Lea, Isabella and Henry, Marguerite and Antoine, her brother Aldo and his wife Angelina and Doris, widow of her brother Ettore, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends.
The funeral leaves St Luke's Hospital today at 2 p.m. for St Gregory's parish church, Sliema, where Mass praesente cadavere will be celebrated at 2.30 p.m., followed by interment at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to the Poor Clare Sisters, St Julian's, will be appreciated. The family regret they are unable to receive visitors. May the Lord grant her eternal rest.

SERGE. On February 26, at St Luke's Hospital, ALEXANDER, aged 78, passed peacefully away, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his beloved wife Lillian née Borg Cardona, his children Joe and his wife Sandra, Ingrid and her husband Antony Ratcliffe, his grandchildren Mark, David and Louisa, his brother Joe and his wife Vanna, in-laws, nephews, nieces, besides other relatives and friends.
The funeral leaves St Luke's Hospital tomorrow at 9 a.m. for Sacro Cuor parish church, Sliema, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 9.30 a.m., followed by interment at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to the boys at St Patrick's Residential School, Sliema, will be appreciated. May the Lord grant him eternal rest

Theatre Traffic

The theatre appreciation group Theatre Traffic will be holding its monthly session at the Café Diva of the Manoel Theatre, Valletta, today at 8 p.m.

In light of the current peace protests on possible war on Iraq, the session will be dedicated to the theme of peace and all artists, poets and musicians are invited to perform, sing or recite a poem on the matter.

Entrance is free.
