CALLUS. On November 28, at St Luke's Hospital, MAURICE (Bank of Valletta Manager), aged 53, of Birkirkara. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Marisa and his daughter Maria Christina, his brothers Tony and his wife Doris, Albert and his wife Lourdes and his sister Marguerite and her husband Henry Carbone, his wife's father Joseph Grech Ciancio, his wife's sister Josephine and her husband Albert Scerri, his nephews and nieces Malcolm and Maureen-Ann, Audrey and Adrian, Tania and Rodney, Matthew and Mark-Anthony. - R.I.P.
The funeral leaves St Luke's Hospital tomorrow at 1.45 p.m. for St France's Church, Msida Street, Birkirkara where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 2.15 p.m., followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Moviment Missjunarju Gesù fil-Proxxmu, Gozo, will be appreciated.

MICALLEF. On November 28, at St Vincent de Paul residence, MARIA STELLA, aged 82, passed peacefully away, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her brother Louis and his wife Agnes, Renee, widow of her brother Vincent, Emilia, widow of her brother Victor, her nephews and nieces Miriam and Alfred Bonnici, Nanette and Richard Grech, John and Elizabeth Micallef, Paulette and Francis Degiorgio, Ino and Agnes Micallef, Joe Micallef, Vincent and Sina Micallef, Doreen and Joseph Cortis, Monica and Guido Bonello Ghio, Marceline Micallef, Josette and Alfred Scicluna, Rosabelle and Alfred Mousu, Eric and Leah Micallef, her beloved great nephews and nieces and their respective in-laws and children, other relatives and friends.
The funeral leaves St Vincent de Paul residence today at 9.45 a.m. for the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery chapel where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 10.15 a.m., followed by interment in the family vault. No flowers by request but donations to Respite Care Services, Dar il-Kaptan, Mtarfa, will be appreciated. May God grant her eternal rest.

SCHEMBRI. On November 25, GWIDO, living in Canada, aged 74, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his beloved wife Nina and family, his brother Alfred and wife Katie, sister Rosina, brother Peter, wife Carmen, nephews, nieces, family and friends. - R.I.P.

He leaves to mourn his loss his beloved wife Yolanda, his daughter and sons Erminia, Vincent and Alan, his grandchildren Julia, Jo and Joseph, his brothers and sisters Vincent and his wife Rose, Nini and her husband Salvu, Lorry, Josephine and Tony, his sisters-in-law Jeanette and Adelina, all his nephews, nieces and many friends. - R.I.P.

Science Forum

The first session of the NSTF Malta Student Science Forum VIII was held on Wednesday at NSTF, Valletta.

The topic for discussion was 'Green Chemistry'.

Three groups of students presented a research paper on the preservation of the environment through the use of green chemistry processes.

Green Chemistry is the use of chemistry for pollution prevention and the design of chemical products and processes that reduce negative impacts on human health and the environment.

The forum was held in collaboration with the Malta Chamber of Scientists and Air Malta.

Business Language Courses

The Malta External Trade Corporation's training unit is planning to organise more business language courses next year, following high demand for the courses on offer.

The unit is currently offering courses in two foreign languages, French and Arabic.

Participants come from various sectors of the business community.

"Due to the high attendance demand, it is envisaged that these courses will again be run next year, with the possibility of also introducing new languages, Metco said in a statement.

'The Gondolers' At Victoria

The inhouse theatre company of the Don Bosco Theatre in Victoria is presenting the Gilbert and Sullivan operetta "The Gondolers" at the theatre tomorrow.

The choral pieces are being performed by the Schola Cantorem Jubilate choir.

Tour Of Hagar Qim

Manoel Theatre Cultural Services is organising a cultural tour to Hagar Qim archaeological park on Sunday at 3 p.m.

Remembrance Mass

A rememberance Mass will be said at St Barbara's chapel in Republic Street, Valletta, today at 6.30 p.m. to commemorate former members of the 3rd LAA Regiment, the 11th HAA Regiment, and the 3/11 Regiment of the Royal Malta Artillery.

Firing Practice

The Armed Forces will carry out live firing practice at Pembroke ranges throughout December from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. except on public holidays.

Vessels should keep two miles off the coast during these times. Red flags are flown from the limits of the range concerned.
