Obituary

BRIGUGLIO. On September 15, at St Vincent de Paul residence, CARMELA, widow of Anthony, of Sta Venera, at the venerable age of 93, passed peacefully away, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her children Antonio and his wife Mariuccia, Joseph and his wife Patricia, Lino and his wife Marie, Maria and her husband Joseph Farrugia, Martha and her husband Luciano Abela, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, her sister Victoria Zammit, her brother Anthony Pace, other relatives, in-laws and friends. - R.I.P.
The funeral leaves St Vincent de Paul residence today at 2.15 p.m. for Sta Venera old parish church where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 2.30 p.m., followed by interment at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to St Joseph Institute, Sta Venera, will be greatly appreciated.

ZAMMIT - MICHAEL VINCENT. Beloved in life and cherished in death, passed on to eternal rest six years ago today. Remembered with love by his wife Nina, his children Carmen, Vicky, Vincent and Dolores, their spouses and families. Kindly remember him in your prayers.

Ta' Marija Restaurant

Printer Donation

Avantech Ltd's 19th donation in the ongoing campaign "A Canon printer for a good cause" was made to the Rehabilitation Centre in Corradino.

The Rehabilitation Centre offers training and help to physically handicapped people with a view to employment and full rehabilitation into society. The centre is run on a voluntary basis and depends on money raised or received through the generosity of benefactors.

Eucharist Celebration

An Anglican (Church of England) Eucharist will be held in the chapel of the Sacred Heart Seminary, Enrico Mizzi Street, Victoria tomorrow at 11 a.m. The celebrant will be Senior Chaplain Alan Woods.

Dominican Campaign

A campaign is being organised by the Dominican Family Justice and Peace Commission in the Philippines to help the victims of an area contaminated with toxic waste. Reflection Weekend

The Christian Family Groups of the Cana Movement are organising a weekend of reflection for married couples at Porziuncola House, Bahar ic-Caghaq, on October 19 and 20.

Pulse Resignation

Cory Greenland has resigned as president of the students' organisation Pulse, to concentrate on his final year studies. The resignation is with effect from October 1. Andre Borg was appointed acting president.
