Obituary

CILIA. STEFAN of St Julian's, passed away on August 12, aged 27. He leaves to mourn his irreparable loss his parents Donald and Marie Louise, his sister Denise and her husband Nicky Bonnici, his nieces Analise and Stephanie, his uncles, aunts, cousins, relatives and friends. - R. I. P.

EDWARDS. On August 11, at St Luke's Hospital, PAULINE of Sliema, aged 83, passed peacefully away, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her great loss her beloved husband Harry, her daughter Janet and her husband Joe, Eileen and her husband George, Marleen and her husband Lorenzo, Rose and her husband Manwel, Tonio and his wife Pauline, in-laws, other relatives and friends. - R.I.P.

He leaves to mourn his loss his beloved wife Antoinette, his children Joe and his wife Josephine, Edgar and his wife Joan, Albert and his wife Jennifer, Rita and her husband Martin Zerafa, Paul and his wife Josephine, Raymond and his wife Marvic, his brother Saviour, grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
The funeral leaves St Vincent de Paul tomorrow at 8.30 a.m. for Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery chapel, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 8.45 a.m. followed by interment.

GRIXTI. On August 12, at Zammit Clapp Hospital, ROSE née Borg, aged 81, passed peacefully away, comforted by the rites of Holy Church and surrounded by all her loving family. She leaves to mourn her irreparable loss her dear husband Joseph, her children Pauline, Joe, Charles, Georgina, Imperia and Henry, their respective husbands and wives, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends. - R.I.P.

Strand Closure

Part of the Strand in Sliema, from Square Deal to Manwel Dimech Street, will be closed to traffic on Friday and Saturday from 7.30 to 11.30 p.m. and on Sunday from 10.30 a.m. to 1.30 p.m. and from 6.30 to 11 p.m., because of the feast of Our Lady of Stella Maris.

Route 91 Extended

Bus route 91 has been extended to cover a new area in Qormi, with immediate effect, the Public Transport Authority said.

Buses leaving the San Gorg terminus in Qormi on the hour between 6 and 11 a.m. will pass through il-Kbira, Anici, il-Vitorja, San Bastjan, 20 ta' Jannar, Amleto Spiteri, Correa and Valletta streets on their way to Valletta.

Power Cable Damaged

Skanska Ltd, the contractors working on the Mater Dei hospital, accidentally damaged an underground power cable last Friday, Enemalta said yesterday.

The service was restored in under an hour by the corporation.
