Mr IAN ANASTASI, B.Com. and Miss CAROLINE-JANE CIAPPARA, B.Ed. (Hons)
The marriage took place on Saturday, August 3, at St Mary's parish church, Attard, between IAN, son of Mr and Mrs Victor Anastasi of Attard, and CAROLINE-JANE, daughter of Mr and Mrs Laurence Ciappara, also of Attard. Fr Anton Portelli celebrated nuptial Mass. The ceremony was witnessed by Mr Steven Ciappara, the bride's brother, and Miss Victoria Chetcuti, the groom's aunt. Mr Robert Brincau carried out the duties of best man. The bride was attended by Miss Wendy Walker as bridesmaid. Claire Micallef, Alexandra Abela and Kristina Brincau were flower-girls, while Karl Brincau was pageboy. Mr David Ciappara and Mr James Anastasi acted as ushers. A reception was later held at Palazzo Promontorio, Wardija. The couple are spending their honeymoon in the Far East.

The wedding was celebrated on Saturday, July 27, by the Bastion Pool at Le Meridien Phoenicia, Floriana, between ADRIAN, son of the late Mr and Mrs Edward Fenech of Swieqi, and NICOLA, daughter of Mrs Doris Camilleri and the late Mr Emanuel Camilleri of Swieqi. The ceremony was performed by the Registrar, Mrs M.T. Farrugia Turban and witnessed by Miss Carmelina Cassar, the bride's aunt and godmother, and Mr Victor Fenech, the groom's brother. The bride was attended by Miss Lorraine Le Mare as maid of honour. The couple are spending their honeymoon in Rome, the Far East and London.

Obituary

SAID. On August 9, The Noble ANN, née Cassar Desain, passed peacefully away, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her sad loss her beloved children Stephen, Francesca and Andrew, her much loved grandchildren Nicholas, Michaela, Matthew and Benji, her son-in-law Michael, Mario and Francesca, her brothers and sisters Rosemarie, Lawrence, Veronica, Christine, Nathalie and Michael, her in-laws Bernard, Lino, Vivien, Mieke and Pat, her aunts The Noble Mary Falzon Sant Manduca and Mrs Alberta Cassar Torreggiani, nephews and nieces, cousins, Cenza and many other friends.
The funeral leaves Capua Palace Hospital tomorrow at 8.30 a.m. for St Gregory's parish church, Sliema, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 8.45 a.m., followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. Donations to the Hospice Movement will be appreciated. The family regret they are unable to receive visitors. Lord grant her eternal rest.

SCERRI - ANGELICA née Falzon, formerly of High Street, Hamrun, but residing in Adelaide, Australia, for the last 37 years, died peacefully on July 20, at the venerable age of 96. She leaves to mourn her loss her children Joe and his wife Clorinda, Paul, widower of Mary, and Helen, wife of Francis Scicluna, all of Malta, Tessie, widow of Charles Agius, Florrie, wife of Charles Mallia and Alfred and his wife Doris, all residing in Australia, her 19 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends in Malta and Australia. - R.I.P.

ZAMMIT. On August 9, CHARLES, aged 87, died peacefully at his home in Sliema, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He is mourned by his wife Emma, his sons Neville, Oliver, John and Reg and his daughter Gloria and their respective spouses, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, his brothers Joseph and Paul, and all relatives and friends. - R.I.P.
The funeral leaves St Luke's Hospital on Tuesday at 2 p.m. for St Gregory's parish church, Sliema, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 2.30 p.m., followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. ZIMELLI. On August 10, at her residence in Sliema, JOYCE, passed peacefully away, suddenly. She leaves to mourn her loss her beloved sister Myriam, her beloved brother John and his wife Maris, her nieces Tina and her husband Michael Paris, Karen and her husband Ivan Gatt and her great-nephews David and Gigi, together with her many relatives and friends.

On the 50th anniversary of the ordination of Fr GENNARO CAMILLERI, all Masses said on Thursday, August 15, at St Gregory's parish church, Sliema, will be offered for the repose of his soul. On the initiative of some close friends of the late LOLLY DARMANIN, the 6.30 p.m. Mass said tomorrow at Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception parish church, Ta' l-Ibrag, will be offered for the repose of his soul. Members of his family, relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend.
