Obituary

ATTARD. On August 5, at St Luke's Hospital, JOHN, aged 82, passed peacefully away, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his great loss his wife Olympia née Fava, his children Lino and his wife Margaret, Cecilia, Mario and his wife Regina, his brother Charles, his nephews, nieces, grandchildren, in-laws, relatives and friends. - R.I.P.
The funeral leaves St Luke's Hospital today at 2 p.m. for Sacro Cuor parish church, Sliema, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 2.30 p.m., followed by interment at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to St Clare's Monastery, St Julian's, will be greatly appreciated. The family regret they are unable to receive visitors.

FRENDO. On August 7, at Zammit Clapp Hospital, CARMELA, widow of Vincent, aged 92, passed peacefully away comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her children Frankie and his wife Lilian, Mary, Victor and Kay, Teresa and her husband John and Elvis and his wife Lisa, her grandchildren Marika and her husband George, Leanne and her husband Steve, Mark and his wife Angela, Clyde, Philip and Arron, her great-grandchildren Vladimir, Nureyev, Kyra, Dean, Zak, Max, James and Thomas, her brothers George and his wife Ludgarda and Louis and her sister Lucy and their respective families, other cousins, relatives and friends. - R.I.P.
The funeral leaves Zammit Clapp hospital tomorrow at 7.45 a.m. for St Julian's parish church where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 8.15 a.m. followed by interment at St George's Cemetery Qormi. No flowers by request, but donations to Dar tal-Providenza will be appreciated.

GALLO. On August 6, at Villa Messina, MARIA STELLA née Sammut, aged 81, passed peacefully away, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her husband Joseph, her children Carmen, Kathleen, Tony, Joseph and Rita and their respective spouses, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, her brothers, in-laws, other relatives and friends. - R.I.P.

MUSCAT. On August 6, VINCENT, aged 70. He leaves to mourn his loss his sisters Carmela, Luigia and Doris, his brothers Anthony and his wife Elsie and Salvatore and his wife Mananni, nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends. - R.I.P.

PELLICANO. On August 8, at St Luke's Hospital, Maria Stella née Xerri, aged 80, wife of the late Henry, passed peacefully away, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her great loss her sons Joe and his wife Grace, Ray and his wife Grace, her beloved grandchildren, Ian and his wife Dorianne, Robert and his wife Elaine and Etienne, her great grandchildren Camille and Helene, her dearly loved nieces Margaret, Miriam and Agnes and their families, in-laws, relatives and friends, as well as the loving Franciscan sisters and helpers at Pax et Bonum, Mosta. - R.I.P.
The funeral leaves St Luke's Hospital today at 2.30 p.m. for the Chapel at the All Souls Cemetery, Tarxien, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 3 p.m., followed by interment at the said cemetery. Joe Grima, secretary for the hotels, restaurants and food section of the Union Haddiema Maghqudin, has been appointed a member of the executive of the International Union of Food, Agriculture, Hotels, Catering, Tobacco and Allied Workers' Association for five years.

The IUF has affiliations with 340 unions in 126 countries.
