DARMANIN. On June 21, lolly, aged 66, passed peacefully away, comforted by the rites of the Holy Church. He will be fondly and lovingly remembered by his wife Myrtle, his children Tonio and Marie, Theresa and Chris Scerri, and Ian and Crysta, his most treasured grandchildren Andrea, Francesca, Pia, Philip and Emma, his brothers and sisters Joe and Phyllis, Charles and Lina, Annie Grech, widow of Joe, Inez and Maurice Connor and Eveylyn, his mother-in-law Rose Debono, his in-laws Joe and Gladys Debono, his nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.
The funeral leaves St Luke's Hospital today at 8.30 a.m. for Stella Maris parish church, Sliema, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 9 a.m., followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. Lord grant him eternal rest.

Requiem Masses

A Mass for the repose of the soul of ROLAND JACONO will be said on Wednesday, June 26 at 7 p.m. at St Patrick's church, Sliema.

Fund-Raising Bazaar

The Mission Fund is holding a bazaar at the City Lights Arcades in St John Street, Valletta, between tomorrow and Friday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Proceeds will be used to help people in Third World countries. Donations for the bazaar may be given to the fund at 72/2 St Joseph Flats, il-Farinal Street, Mosta MST 07, tel. 21 413664, Mondays to Fridays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Blood Donations

The mobile blood donation unit will be at the Michele Peresso outlet, Europsort, in Birkirkara on Wednesday, at Brand in Bulebel on Thursday and near the secondary school in Qormi on Sunday, from 8.30 a.m. to 1.30 p.m. Donors should present their ID cards.

Sweet Summer Notes Festival

The Catholic Action Youths of Zabbar are to hold the second Sweet Summer Notes Festival at Notre Dame Theatre in Zabbar on Friday.

Starting at 5 p.m. the festival will feature singers of all ages divided into different categories.

Card Party

A card party in aid of the Little Sisters of the Poor will be held at the Preluna Hotel, Sliema, from 10 a.m. on July 3. Booking may be made with Blanche Martin on tel. 21330387.

Lotto Draw

This week's lotto draw will be made on Friday, Saturday being a public holiday, the Lotto Department said.

The next meeting of Poezijaplus is being held in the courtyard of the Manoel Theatre in Valletta today at 7.30 p.m. The topic for discussion is globalisation.
