Obituary
BIANCO. On December 6, at St James Hospital, Zabbar, FILOMENA née Degabriele, widow of Paul, aged 80, passed peacefully away comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her children Joseph and his wife Sheila, Maria and her husband Gerhard, Rita and her husband Charles, Fr Noel Bianco, MSSP, Anna and her husband Charles, Karmenu and his wife Josette, Tony and his wife Carmen, Giovanni and his wife Christine, Paul and his wife Anna, Mario and his wife Sandra, Vincent and his wife Julie, her 33 grandchildren, nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends. - R.I.P.
The funeral leaves St James Hospital tomorrow at 2 p.m. for St Anne parish church, Marsascala, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 2.30 p.m., followed by interment at Lija cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to the Eden Foundation, Bulebel, will be greatly appreciated. We thank God for our mother.
GANADO. On December 4, at St James Capua Hospital, CONNIE, passed peacefully away comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her great loss her very close sister Marie Louise, widow of Eric Firman, together with her nieces Madeleine and Christine and nephews Edward and his wife Taygeta and Mark and his wife Karen and their children Stuart, Michelle, Louisa and Krista, her brother Joe and his wife Angela, her sister Yvonne and her husband Loris Bianchi and her sister Grace and her husband Charles Grech Orr, her many nephews and nieces and grand-nephews and grand-nieces and many other relatives and friends.
The funeral leaves St James Capua Hospital today at 8.30 a.m. for Stella Maris parish church, Sliema, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 9 a.m., followed by interment in the family chapel at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. Her family thank the doctor and the hospital staff for their dedicated service. No flowers by request but donations to Dar tal-Providenza, Siggiewi, will be greatly appreciated. Dear Lord grant her eternal rest.
LAVINO. On December 4, in Genoa, Italy, ERMANNO, after a short illness borne with Christian fortitude. He leaves to mourn his loss his beloved wife Julia and daughter Monica, relations and friends around the world, particularly Malta, the island he loved so much and which he made his second home.
A Mass for the repose of his soul will be celebrated on December 12 at 6 p.m. at Our Lady of Damascus Greek Catholic church, Archbishop Street, Valletta.
PEARSON. On December 1, JOHN PETER. His wife Nancy, son Roderick and daughter Hilary mourn his loss. We shall miss him always.
VASSALLO. Suddenly, on December 3, at his home in Bristol, MARIO, aged 79. He leaves to mourn his great loss his step-daughter Koulla who looked after him with great care for many years, his brothers Milo and his wife Rita and Franco, widower of Louise, his sisters Lea and her husband Joe Taylor-East and Bianca and her husband Lino Camilleri, nephews and nieces, relatives and friends. - R.I.P.

A meeting of the Malta Philatelic Society will be held today at St Publius Hall, 50, Triq San Publiju, Floriana, situated under St Publius church (opposite the granaries) starting at 6 p.m.
There will be a philatelic display of exhibits on the topic of Christmas.
Italian Film
The film Il pranzo della Domenica will not be shown at the Italian Cultural Institute tomorrow, as inadvertently advertised in The Sunday Times, because it had already been shown the previous Thursday. There is no film show tomorrow. The error is regretted.
