Obituary
CAMILLERI. On November 23, ANTOINE (artist), of Floriana, passed peacefully away comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Tereza, his children Gerard, Pierre, Mariel, Antoine Paul and Marthese, his brothers Michel and his wife Maria, Pio and his wife Ivy, in-laws, grandchildren, other relatives and friends. - R.I.P.
The funeral leaves St Luke's Hospital today at 2 p.m. for St Publius parish church, Floriana, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 2.30 p.m., followed by interment at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Fondazzjoni Nazareth, Zejtun, will be appreciated.
CIANTAR. On November 23, at St Luke's Hospital, RENO, aged 62, passed peacefully away comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Doris née Micallef, his children Dr Etienne Ciantar and daughter Jeanette and her boyfriend Mark Vella Muskat, his brothers, sisters and their families, in-laws and their families, aunts, other relatives and friends.
The funeral leaves St Luke's Hospital tomorrow at 2 p.m. for the Immaculate Conception parish church, Ta' l-Ibrag, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 2.30 p.m., followed by interment at Zebbug cemetery. The family regret they are unable to receive visitors. Lord grant him eternal rest.
FENECH. On November 22, at St Luke's Hospital, MARIA MARGHERITA, aged 76, went to meet the Risen Lord comforted by the rites of the Catholic Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her sister Maria Dolores and her brothers Fr Joseph and Francis Anthony, member of the MUSEUM Society, cousins, relatives, members of the Lija Catholic Action and friends.
The funeral leaves St Luke's Hospital today at 3.15 p.m. for Lija parish church where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 3.45 p.m., followed by interment at Lija cemetery. Lord grant her eternal rest.
SPITERI. On November 22, at St Luke's Hospital, ANGELO (director, Garden of Eden), of Zejtun, aged 60, passed peacefully away comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Marija Anna, his children Freddie and his wife Tania, Joseph and his wife Jacqueline and Karen, his grandchildren Ronald, Raissa, Julian and Gillian, Kurt, Luke, Angelo and James, his brothers and sisters, his in-laws, other relatives and friends.
The funeral leaves St Luke's Hospital on Saturday at 8 a.m. for St Catherine parish church, Zejtun, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 8.30 a.m. The funeral will then proceed to St Gregory Cemetery, Zejtun accompanied by the Zejtun band where interment in the family grave will take place. No flowers by request but donations to Dar Nazareth, Zejtun will be greatly appreciated. Lord grant him eternal rest.

APS Bank concert
The APS Bank annual concert will be held at St John's Co-Cathedral, in Valletta on December 1 at 7.30 p.m.
The performance will consist of the grand Mass for soloists, chorus and orchestra by Paolino Vassallo, composed in 1889 and first performed in a concert version at the hall of the Public Library, Valletta, on December 23 of that same year.
This work has been chosen because 2006 happens to be the 150th anniversary of the composer's birth.
The concert is being organised in collaboration with the Metropolitan Chapter and the St John's Co-Cathedral Foundation.
The soloists and the Collegium Musicum choir and orchestra will be conducted by Dion Buhagiar.
Christmas sale
The Sacro Cuor feast commission will be holding a Christmas bonanza sale at the Padova Hall in Church Street, Sliema, near the parish church of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, on Saturday and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
The sale is part of fund-raising activities being held in aid of the special events to be held at the parish next year to mark the 125th anniversary of the arrival of the statue of Our Lady in Sliema, the first titular statue in Sliema.
Debate on campus
AEGEE-Valletta will be holding a series of Live Forum debates on campus this academic year.
The first debate will have the theme 'Has EU Accession Changed Your Life? It will be held at Student's House at noon today. The panel will be chaired by Roderick Pace, chairman of the European Movement (Malta).

Youth groups
The youth organisation Young Light has launched an online service - The Info Market - at www.younglight.org.
The idea is to create a one stop virtual space where young people can learn about youth groups in Malta and Gozo.
Young Light is appealing to all youth organisations interested in forming part of this online directory to contact it through the website. The directory is open to all organisations provided they are made up of or are giving a service to young people.

AIESEC internship

Every year, AIESEC in Malta sets out to recruit a number of university students willing to experience working on an internship in a foreign country.
Students have been going on such internships for over 50 years.
The art of praying
The university chaplaincy is offering the opportunity to learn Lectio Divina, an ancient art of praying with the Bible with Fr Paul Sciberras and a group of students and staff.
The four-session course will focus on the Gospels of the Sundays in Advent. They will be held at the university chapel tomorrow and on December 2, 7 and 16 at 6.30 p.m.

US embassy
The American Embassy will be closed today, Thanksgiving Day, an American national holiday. The embassy will resume normal business hours tomorrow.
The consular section will be closed on Wednesday and on December 14 and 16.
Annual concert
The Friends of the Little Sisters of the Poor will be holding the annual fund raising concert of song and dance - Prelude To Christmas - at the Casino Maltese in Valletta on December 3.
Taking part will be the Sine Macula Choir, Las Gitanillas, La Zambra Flamenca and the Tony Lawrence Dance School.

The International Wives Association will be holding a Christmas bazaar at Dar l-Emigrant, Valletta on Wednesday from 10 to 11.30 a.m. Everyone is welcome to attend.
