BUGEJA. On November 10, at St Luke's Hospital, CARMEL, of Paola, aged 76, passed peacefully away comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his son Ray, editor of The Times, his daughters Maria and Nathalie, and their respective spouses, his brother Anthony and sister Dolores, grandchildren, nephews and nieces, in-laws, relatives and friends. The funeral leaves St Luke's Hospital today at 1.30 p.m. for Christ the King parish church, Paola, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 2 p.m., followed by interment at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Dar tal-Providenza, Siggiewi, will be appreciated. Lord grant him eternal rest.

CAMILLERI. On November 11, at St Vincent de Paul, NAZZARENO, of Zebbug, residing in Sta Venera, aged 91, passed peacefully away comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his daughters Mary Rose and her husband Alfons Cauchi, Rose and her husband Noel Sammut, his son Joe and his wife Carmen of Australia, grandchildren Martin and his wife Dorianne, Roger, Joanne and her husband Bradley of Australia, Caroline, Randolph and wife his Juana, and his three great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends. - R.I.P. Worker Of The Year

The Worker of the Year Award for this year will be presented at the Robert Samut Hall in Floriana on December 12.

A total of 14 persons from different sectors of employment, including government and private, have been nominated for the award.

The theme chosen for this year is The Worker And Social Inclusion. During the evening there will be an audio visual presentation on the theme.

The winner of last year's award, Nora Macelli, will hand over the trophy to her successor.

The Selection Commission is chaired by Anthony Tabone.

Valletta Road Closed

Triq Gilormu Cassar in Valletta, will be completely closed to vehicular traffic from War Memorial Roundabout Junction, Floriana up to Roundabout Junction at Auberge de Castille from Monday to Wednesday from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Traffic from St Anne Street, Floriana will be diverted to either Great Siege Road (down towards Excelsior Hotel) or down Crucifix Hill (Sir Paul Boffa Hospital), Lascaris Wharf and up towards the Mediterranean Conference Centre.

Traffic leaving Valletta will exit through the Mediterranean Conference Centre area and will proceed either towards Lascaris Wharf or towards Sa Maison Road, Pietà.

Motorists are advised to proceed with caution.

Concert Of French Music

The annual autumn concert organised by Din l-Art Helwa will be held at Palazzo Parisio, Naxxar, on December 2 at 7.30 p.m.

The concert, featuring French instrumental music and songs, is being presented by four talented musicians who have been acclaimed both locally and abroad.

They are mezzo-soprano Claire Massa, Rebecca Hall on the flute, John McDonough on the oboe and Anne Marie Camilleri Podestà on the harp.

Their programme will comprise works by Fauré, Ravel, Martin, Ibert and Zabel among others.

Tickets for the concert and buffet reception, which are on a first come first served basis, cost Lm12.50 per person. They are available from Din l-Art Helwa at 133, Melita Street, Valletta. Booking must be made by November 28.

Proceeds from the event will be utilised for Din l-Art Helwa's restoration projects and upkeep of the historic properties the organisation holds in guardianship.

Junior College, University Buses

As from Monday, bus routes from villages to Gian Francisk Abela Junior College, Msida and the University, Tal-Qroqq will, on reaching the roundabout in Psaila Street near St Philip Hospital, Sta Venera, turn towards Hamrun from il-Ferrovija Street and go left into Oscar Zammit Street from where they will proceed to the Junior College and the University.

The bus routes are 110, 300, 350, 800, 810.

Route bus 890 coming from Siggiewi will use the normal route through to Hamrun and will then go through Il-Kappillan Mifsud Street and turn right into Oscar Zammit Street.

Boost for Dar tal-Providenza

The former members of the Mistra Village timeshare committee have presented Lm7,000 from the now defunct Mistra Village Timeshare Club to Dar tal-Providenza.

Former club treasurer Rex Woodward said that when in June it was resolved to wind up the club it was decided to make a donation to a charity as a small token of appreciation of the friendship members received from the people of Malta over the years.
