Obituary
CALLEJA. On September 9, EILEEN née Fenech, widow of Victor, aged 65, passed peacefully away at St Luke's Hospital. She leaves to mourn her devoted daughters Graziella Russo and Daniela and her son-in-law Alberto Bartoli, her beloved grandchildren Manya and Sohara, Aimeé and Michael, her brothers Joe and his wife Miriam, Harry and his wife Lynne and Frank and his wife Margaret, her sisters Isabelle, Vivienne and her husband Vanni Gingell Littlejohn and Henrietta and her husband Joe Curmi, her in-laws, relatives and friends.
The funeral leaves St Luke's Hospital on Monday, September 12, at 2 p.m. for the Carmelite church, Balluta, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 2.30 p.m. followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to the Malta Cancer Foundation at Boffa Hospital will be greatly appreciated.
Lord grant her eternal rest.
VALVO. On September 8, at the Cospicua home for the elderly, ROBERTA, widow of John, passed peacefully away at the age of 93, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her children Connie and her husband Joe, Gerry and his wife Mary, Nellie, widow of John, Anthony and his wife Maria, her sister Elizabeth, her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, her nieces and nephews and their families, other relatives and friends.
Mass praesente cadavere will be said today at 8.30 a.m. at Cospicua parish church, followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. May she rest in peace.

GAUCI - MARY. On the 17th anniversary of her death. Fondly remembered by her sons Godfrey and his wife Carmen, Michael and his wife Nathalie, her daughter Norma and her husband Alfred Bezzina and her grandchildren.

Consultation process
Tonio Fenech, Parliamentary Secretary in the Ministry of Finance, will launch the government's process to formulate the National Strategic Reference Framework (NSRF) for the years 2007 to 2013 on Monday at 2 p.m. at the Mediterranean Conference Centre, in Valletta.
This process will set out Malta's strategic aims within the parameters of the European Community Strategic Guidelines for the future use of EU Structural Funds.
Telephone service
Ghaxaq residents will have their telephone service temporarily disrupted between 7 a.m. on Monday and 7 a.m. on Tuesday, Maltacom said yesterday.
The disruption is due to planned cable network maintenance to improve the telephone service.
Lost Cat
A black, fluffy cat with a bright orange collar has been lost in the Balzan area. It answers to the name of Toots. Its owner desperately wants it back. Anyone who sees it is asked to call on 2144 2468 or 9982 8249.
Dog found
A bitch was found roaming in St George's Bay. She is in very good condition and is said to have a lovely character. Its owners should contact Sandra on 7970 9301.
