CARUANA. On August 6 in Catania, Therese née Tagliaferro, aged 71, widow of Reno, passed peacefully away comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her daughter Maria and the Focolare Movement, her son Joseph and his wife Elisa, her brother Fr Hilary Tagliaferro, her sister Maria and her husband William Buckle, her sister-in-law Theresa, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.
The funeral leaves St Luke's Hospital today at 8.30 a.m. for Mater Boni Consilii church, Paceville where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 9 a.m. followed by interment at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to the Millennium Chapel will be appreciated.
Lord grant her eternal rest.

He leaves to mourn his loss his loving daughters and sons-in-law, Giovanna and Anthony Apap, Margaret and Albert Borg Costanzi, Rosemarie and Louis Buttigieg, Theresa and John Psaila, his grandchildren Roberta, Christine, David, Mark, Peter, Michael, Elena, Karl, Ivan, John and Emma-Louise, spouses, fiancés, and his beloved 14 great-grandchildren, his in-laws Maria Casolani and Hugh Anastasi, nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.

No flowers by request but donations to Dar tal-Providenza, Siggiewi, will be appreciated. The family regret they are unable to receive visitors.

Zminijietna - Voice of the Left has appointed Michael Camilleri as president on the new committee.

Wellness sessions
The Summer Wellness Sessions by Nesquik Plus and Playmobil Fun Park started last week where around 95 children were present.
The sessions are being held Mondays and Wednesdays. The first session starts at 10.15 till 10.45 a.m. and the second at 11 finishing at 11.30 a.m. These sessions will close on September 12.

No mail delivery will be carried out and Maltapost retail outlets will not be open next Thursday as part of an agreement with the Malta Communications Authority.

Attard Mass
Archbishop Paul Cremona will concelebrate Mass together with the Attard parish clergy on Sunday at 9 a.m. as part of the celebrations of the feast of Our Lady of the Assumption.
A cultural soiree will be held at the Auditorium of Pope John Paul II Centre at 8 p.m.
The programme will include the participation of Il-MuziKanti choir group.
Entrance is free.
Marsascala Barbecue
A barbecue night is being organised by the Annunciation Band Club of Tarxien at the Swimming Pool Complex at Marsascala. It will be held on August 18.
Price is Lm4.50 for adults and Lm2.50 for children, including transport.
Meeting place is at the Band Club at 5.30 p.m.
