Cinema Day should be fun but last Saturday was an ordeal for those who chose St Julian's. I planned to take my children to a morning show but the only tickets available at the time were for the front row. So I asked the cashier to give me back seats for the next show.

I went home and came back only to find that the tickets were for the second row from front. How could she be so careless? I was obviously upset. I knew it would be uncomfortable for my three young children and in fact it was.

I expressed my disappointment and whereas one usher was understanding another was quite rude. As I went to my seat I was told that there had been heated arguments all day. And this was still the 2.20 p.m. show! And when I had to exit for a spell with one of my children, that rude usher would not show me the way back with her torch. She and that cashier managed to mar our activity with their arrogant behaviour.

Perhaps the organisers, on their way to the bank, could spare a thought for the kind of service the public is having to endure and duly remedy the situation.
