Augenthaler: VfL Wolfsburg coach Klaus Augenthaler has signed a two-year extension to his contract, which will now run until the end of the 2008-09 season. Augenthaler took over at Wolfsburg in December 2005.

Atouba: Hamburg sent Thimothee Atouba home early from their training camp after the Cameroon defender criticised the club in public. Atouba complained he had been forced to attend the mid-season training camp in Dubai rather than staying in Hamburg to receive treatment on an injury.

Racist abuse: A section of Getafe fans chanted racist abuse at Valencia's Portuguese fullback Miguel during their King's Cup last 16 first leg on Wednesday. The referee stopped the match in the second half and asked the club to put out an announcement in the stadium asking for fans to stop making the noises.
