Neville: Manchester United defender Gary Neville will make his 500th appearance for the club when he leads them against Birmingham City at Old Trafford tomorrow. The 31-year-old will become the eighth player in United's history to reach the landmark. Neville made his debut for United 13 years ago after joining the club as a youth team player in 1991.

Ten teams: Bulgarian Premier league could be cut to 10 teams from next season following a proposal by the country's Professional Football League (PFL). There are 15 teams in the Premier league this season as Pirin Blagoevgrad was expelled because of unpaid taxes after two rounds.

Sissoko: Liverpool midfielder Momo Sissoko feared his career was over after injuring his eye against Benfica in the Champions League. The Mali international suffered serious damage when he was accidentally kicked in the face by Benfica midfielder Beto during the match on February 21. "After the kick I knew it was a bad injury. Then I went to hospital and they said the injury was very serious," Sissoko said. ""I was crying. I couldn't sleep. There was a lot of things going on in my mind and it was difficult."

Kirkland: West Brom's on-loan goalkeeper Chris Kirkland is making a premature return to Liverpool after breaking a finger in training. Kirkland broke the index finger on his left hand on Thursday and is out for the rest of the season.

Wenger: Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has called on referees to stamp out 'diving' by suspending guilty players. "We have to fight it and there is only one way to punish people diving obviously - suspension," Wenger said. Chelsea and England winger Shaun Wright-Phillips was accused of diving in Chelsea's 1-0- FA Cup quarter-final win on Wednesday and Newcastle United's Robbie Elliott was sent off.

Hiddink: PSV Eindhoven coach Guus Hiddink will leave the Dutch first division leaders and champions at the end of this season. Hiddink gave no hint of his future plans at a news conference yesterday. This season the PSV boss became part-time national coach of Australia, who qualified for the World Cup finals for the first time in 32 years.
