Waghorn: Rangers will have to take on Celtic without top-scorer Martyn Waghorn after boss Mark Warburton confirmed the injured striker had lost his race for fitness. The Ibrox men take on their Old Firm rivals in the Scottish Cup semi-final tomorrow week. But 28-goal striker Waghorn will be forced to watch the action from the Hampden stands. He injured his knee on the plastic Rugby Park pitch during the quarter-final replay win over Kilmarnock.

Apology: Nabil Dirar has avoided a potential exile from Monaco after apologising to the club for his refusal to accept a financial punishment. The Moroccan midfielder is currently serving an eight-game ban which was issued following his confrontation with referee Tony Chapron during a 1-0 win over Nice on February 6.

Henderson: Liverpool’s England midfielder Jordan Henderson will be sidelined for six to eight weeks with a knee ligament injury, ruling him out for the rest of the Premier League season and possibly the Euro 2016 campaign. “A scan on the knee injury Jordan Henderson sustained during Liverpool’s clash with Borussia Dortmund on Thursday night has shown isolated damage to his lateral collateral ligament,” the club said.

Sessegnon: Stephane Sessegnon is available for West Brom’s trip to Manchester City today after being left out last week following his late return from international duty. The forward missed the 0-0 draw at former club Sunderland after returning from games with Benin too late to be included in Tony Pulis’s plans.

Dybala: Argentina forward Paulo Dybala’s thigh injury will again keep him out when Juventus take on Milan at the San Siro today. “Dybala will miss our trip to Milan,” coach Massimiliano Allegri told a news conference before adding that the player would be back in training on Wednesday. The 22-year-old went off in the first half of Juve’s 4-1 win over Torino on March 20.

Scottish Premier: Hearts vs Aberdeen 2-1.
