Spurs beat N. Forest to ease into last eight

Tottenham Hotspur scored three second-half goals to seal a 3-0 victory at second division Nottingham Forest in an FA Cup fifth round replay last night.

Defender Noe Pamarot nodded in a near-post corner after 61 minutes, Ireland striker Robbie Keane pounced from close range and substitute Mido added another in stoppage time to earn a quarter-final trip to Premier League rivals Newcastle United.

Tottenham dominated the match, a repeat of the 1991 FA Cup final also won by Spurs, and Keane nearly opened the scoring in the first half when his snapshot was brilliantly saved one-handed by Forest goalkeeper Paul Gerrard.

Holders Manchester United travel to Southampton, Bolton Wanderers host Arsenal and Blackburn Rovers entertain second division Leicester City in the other quarter-finals, which take place over the weekend of March 12 and 13.
