SPYS in Prague for Eurizon 2005

THE Salesian Pastoral Youth Service (SPYS) recently participated in Eurizon 2005 - a European youth encounter, which was held in Prague this year.

The theme of this year's Eurizon, organised by the Czech Salesians of Don Bosco together with an international team of Salesian co-ordinators and animators, was "Do not be afraid to be young".

Over 120 youths including the organising team participated in this event which consisted of various creative, sportive, and discussion workshops and activities related to the themes of the day. These included the search to one's own roots, accepting those who are different, love, Christ, as well as the youths' expectations.

Twelve SPYS members participated in this event, four of which served as discussion group leaders. Together they gave a very jovial and joyful representation of Malta and the Maltese, leaving the Eurizon premises as those who helped most in creating the fantastic atmosphere during the week.
