I refer to the On the Dot item entitled Squared Roots (August 2). As previously stated, the Water Services Corporation is to change the defective manhole covers from which the smells are emanating.

The corporation is still awaiting the necessary permits from the Malta Transport Authority. Once these permits are issued, the corporation will replace the defective manholes to avoid this inconvenience.
