The St Andrew Society in Malta recently held its annual ball to celebrate St Andrew’s Day at the Corinthia Palace Hotel in Attard.

Guests enjoyed a five-course dinner and fine wines, as well as Drambuie and Ballantines. British High Commissioner Louise Stanton toasted Scotland and read a short word of fellowship sent by Scotland’s First Minister Alec Salmond.

Entertainment for the evening was supplied by three pipers, followed by Johnnie Gee.

Guests also sampled some Scotch whiskies presented by Farsons Beverages.

The Society’s next function will be the Burns Supper on January 25.
