A total of 83 primary schools participated in the environmental challenge.
During the past scholastic year, students from these schools carried out several tasks to promote a better environment. They sowed acorns, collected material for recycling, held exhibitions, visited the Ghadira Nature Reserve and held many other activities designed to help them better appreciate nature.
Points are awarded to the schools according to the work carried out.
Vanni Galea, the assistant director of operations at the Education Division presented the awards.
Dinja Wahda is organised through the cooperation of NGOs and the Education Division, supported by school heads and teachers.
