Employees of Stainless Steel Products Limited were informed they will be working a four-day week for the next seven weeks, the General Workers' Union said yesterday.

The union met the employees yesterday. The union said the company's management has taken this move because of a drop in export orders, particularly to England.

The union said it assured employees that it will keep in touch with the management to continuously assess the company's situation.
