Marama Corlett, a student at the Olivia Dow School of Russian Ballet, has been accepted for a three-year intensive course at Urdang Academy in Covent Garden, London, where she intends to follow a musical theatre course.
Ms Corlett started ballet at the age of 11 at Olivia Dow School of Russian Ballet and because the school saw star potential in her she was offered a life-long scholarship which meant that all her ballet lessons were free of charge.
The academy chose Ms Corlett for her all-round talent which Ms Dow and her husband, John Baldacchino, say they always recognised she possessed and did everything in their power to help her develop.
