The Delegation of the European Commission to Malta yesterday described as inaccurate a statement by the Federation for Hunting and Conservation (Malta) which said it "was not officially notified about the visit of the European Parliament Environment Committee nor invited by the head of the EU delegation, Ronald Gallimore, to attend meetings with the committee".

The delegation said the EP delegation`s visit was organised by the ministry of the environment in conjunction with the European Commission Delegation and meetings were arranged as requested by the EP delegation itself.
