Still no tax refund to working mothers

While watching Net Television a few nights ago, I saw an advert regarding tax credits given to small and medium-sized firms. This reminded me of the tax refund promised to working mothers whose children were born after January 1, 2007.

More than a year after the minister announced this tax refund, we have not yet been informed when this is going to be given back to us. I have called the Inland Revenue Department several times but the only information given is that any refund due will be given back with interest.

On announcing this tax refund during the Budget speech, the minister said that this was made to help working mothers achieve work-life balance.

I don't know what the minister intended to mean but, surely, it will be of great assistance once received.
