The Water Services Corporaton is investigating damage to the drainage system at Ras il-Hobs, in Gozo.

The corporation said that the damage was caused by large stones which caused a blockage in the system, so that effluent was overflowing into the sea.

The corporation said that works to repair the system were in hand and were expected to be completed in a short time.
