Stop attacking Austria!

I sat down at my computer and watched Xarabank (May 31) which treated the Eurovision Song Contest. To my amazement the Austrian song was mentioned three times in comparison to the Maltese song and never was this song mentioned in a positive way.

I sat down at my computer and watched Xarabank (May 31) which treated the Eurovision Song Contest.

To my amazement the Austrian song was mentioned three times in comparison to the Maltese song and never was this song mentioned in a positive way. Somehow the Maltese song was only compared to this song! Why? What is wrong with this song?

In Austria only two per cent of the people watch the Eurovision contest on TV whereas in Malta it seems that 98 per cent do so and the rest are accompanying the singer.

The Austrians just went there to have fun and enjoy the show with no intention of winning and they managed to get sixth place, surprising all the Austrians!

Let us follow the Austrian example and not take the Eurovision contest too seriously, and have fun. After all the Eurovision contest is about uniting Europe, not dividing people! And here I quote Alf Poier: "The hardest thing in life is to learn how to lose, winning and making massive profits is easy, but learning what matters is more important".

At the end of it all the Austrians were daring and submitted a totally original song and they managed to impress.

It seems that people are getting fed up with the boring, repetitive tunes so they just gave us an answer. I agree that Lynn Chircop should have got more points, but not more than Alf Poier!
