The stork which spent the night perched on the Birzebbuga church tower last night has been seen flying out towards the Freeport, according to witnesses.

After leaving the church tower, the protected bird flew around Birzebbuga for a short time, and stopped on a TV aerial near St Catherine Street.

After some 20 minutes there, it flew off, circled the church and then headed towards the Freeport.
